According to close family sources, Imokol, who was a long-serving member of the UPS, passed away on Thursday morning following a short illness.

Her demise was announced in a tweet by the UPS which states thus; “The Commissioner General of Prisons announces the untimely demise of Chief Wardress Deborah Imokol of Uganda Prisons Band who breathed her last this morning.
