and support.

Having resigned to care for my mom and pursue the opportunity to support
transformation in Africa, I have accepted to serve as Chair of the Board of the Tumaini African Knowledge Center (TAKC).

TAKC is an African youth-led
partnership space committed to the holistic development of African societies. TAKC focuses on the alignment of African values, innovative solutions, knowledge transfer, and sustainable financing for transformational initiatives. TAKC works with high-net-worth individuals, private sector leaders, Governments, and emerging African entrepreneurs, especially youth and women, to develop solutions to fast-track the establishment of integrated value chains including access to markets in key economic sectors.

TAKC also works with diverse knowledge platforms to disseminate local content and global trends on issues such as new investment pathways, indigenous research applicability, and sustainable communities.
As the Chairperson, I am proud to join a team of talented professionals who embody values and principles that foster innovation, collaboration, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.

At TAKC, we are part of a growing community of professionals driving successful investments in Africa at a challenging time in the global marketplace. I look forward to working closely with valued clients and partners to deliver exceptional services for people and planet while also generating acceptable returns on investments.

Our success will be measured by financial milestones and the positive impact in the lives of clients, employees, and communities.
“It is a hard fact that in this contemporary époque, for nations to survive the challenges of globalization, they need knowledge-based economies” Tchamyou, 2016.
TAKC and its network will contribute to the building of African knowledge economies that can balance research and innovation, economic growth as well as the preservation of the environment and resilient communities at scale.

We will demonstrate the positive impact of balancing wealth creation, innovation, and preservation with the core African values of Obumu-Unity, Obwesimbu- Integrity, Obwerufu-Transparency, and Okufaayo-Empathy.

We will promote research and due diligence as a service to inform interactions between Governments, investors, and local entrepreneurs on financing, manufacturing, and transformational initiatives. We will use the TAKC Fireside conversations to facilitate dialogues between youth and women-led enterprises, government officials, and investors.

We will support political commitment to achieve African Knowledge Economies with knowledge transfer solutions, and financing that will enable African States to become large scale sustainable manufacturers and exporters. We will leverage the TAKC Financial Advisory and Research Services to ensure equitable partnerships between Governments, African entrepreneurs, and investors.

We will skill a new generation of African entrepreneurs to successfully engage regional and global value chains. We are in an era filled with possibilities if we work together and place youth, innovation and values at the center of our efforts.

Malango has also commended young people she has worked with After years of mentoring them as emerging leaders and working to encourage political decision makers to work with young entrepreneurs to bring about transformation. “Its truly a blessing to be able to focus on this transformational initiative full time.
It is an honor to begin by recognizing the journey undertaken by the core group of youth who began this journey two years ago namely Solomon, Mercy, Pako, Akello, Faith, Sam, Brenda, Noah, Linda, Christine and Ben.” She says.

“I also wish to recognize the invaluable support, professionalism and resilience demonstrated by Rose, Edward and others who supported the team on my behalf during the past two years.

I also wish to recognize our original partners including Amariatek, NICEUG, Jalule, IMANI Foundation, AICA, Generation Engage Network and later Step-Up Youth network. The challenging beginning of our shared vision to demonstrate the positive constructive role of young people in developing a knowledge economy for Africa, starting in Uganda has provided us all with new abilities and competencies.” Malango added.

She remains committed to demonstrating the positive role of emerging professionals in developing the national and regional economy as well as in repositioning Uganda as a preferred destination for values-based approaches to investment and development.
