The leader of East African Report, Uwimaana Josianne died mysteriously on 20th December 2023. Human rights organisations around the world are still investigating her death. Josianne was a brother to the news reporter Rutembesa Innocent from DR congo.

Uwimaana Josianne was born on the 1st of January in 1987, and she died on the 20th of December 2023 in Belgium as it was announced by some of the news reporters in Belgium

Josianne aged 36 years old died after DR Congo announced that his brother Rutembesa Innocent is still wanted by the government and a reward on a person who shall bring him dead or alive.

Uwimaana Josianne fled from Congo in 2019 as his brother was imprisoned by the government of Rwanda accused for betraying the DRC government , later Rutembesa was released from the prison in 2020 after spending one year and eight months in prison. The death of Uwimaana Josianne was shocking after they found when they had cut off her head.

She was born in DRC Congo, in the province of North Kivu, in the district of Tongo, which is found in the territory of Ruchuro. Her father was called Everist Higiro and her mother Nzemerwa Elivayida, who are both deceased .

Uwimaana Josianne before seeking asylum in Belgium was a refugee in the Republic of Uganda.
