“My Father and I were Big Friends” Kampala Central MP Nsereko Mohammed

RIP & Alhaji Abdul Nsereko

Kampala Central Member of Parliament, Mohammed Nsereko Zakke has described his deceased father Alhaji Abdul Nsereko as a personal friend who enjoyed joking with him.

During his burial in Walusibi, Mukono district earlier this evening, attended by hundreds of mourners including Members of Parliament, Politicians, and business people, Nsereko said paid a surprise visit to him and entered his bedroom. “Man, how come whenever you’re coming you notify me and today you haven’t? ” The deceased asked him.

He later showed him two briefcases that had his old passport and asked him to make him a new one, showed him land titles that needed to be cleared with busuru, and also showed him a photo of the legislator’s deceased mother whom he said loved so much.

Alhaji Nsereko was a veteran broadcaster and politician who worked at Radio Uganda and later Uganda Broadcasting Cooperation – UBC in various positions including a director. He died of cardiac arrest on Wednesday according to his son.

The deceased has also been Mcee on several government functions.

He chose to stay single following the death of his wife in 2009. He is survived by 18 children
