The National Unity Platform (NUP) has reported that a group of heavily armed men surrounded and tried to enter their building, this was communicated through their social media platforms.

The event happened at around 7:30pm before an electricity blackout in the area happened.

The motive behind the armed men is not yet clear. It has not yet been identified whether it was robbery or just a bigger plan at play.

Over the recent time, the NUP president Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu and his supporters have faced a rough time battling security forces and numerous nation wide kidnaps.

However, security officials have not yet come out to clear out whether they were involved into the reported scenario.
