Parliament to pay tribute to Cecilia Ogwal

The casket carrying the body of the late Dokolo Woman Member of Parliament, Cecilia Ogwal, is at parliament this morning for viewing and a special sitting for legislators to pay tribute.

The casket, accompanied by pallbearers from the Uganda Police Force was received by Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among, and other Members of Parliament. The casket now lies at the Central Lobby where Members of Parliament and other mourners will view the body and sign the condolence book.

Ogwal, 77, breathed her last on Thursday 18th, 2024 in India after a short illness.The 77-year-politician ,businesswoman management consultant deid due to cancer issues in hospital in india on January-18-2024.

The deceased brother Alfred Opio confirmed that ogwal passed away from India where she had gone for a review of illness she was suffering from.
