The US and Jordan have air-dropped humanitarian aid into Gaza, as stated by US Central Command. This comes after President Joe Biden promised to use all possible means to provide more aid to the besieged coastal enclave.

The US Air Force and Royal Jordanian Air Force combined operation dropped 38,000 meals along the Gaza coastline from C-130 aircrafts, according to CENTCOM.
There were 66 total bundles dropped – 22 from each of three aircraft, a US official said. There was no water or medical supplies in the bundles.
“These airdrops are part of a sustained effort to get more aid into Gaza, including by expanding the flow of aid through land corridors and routes,” CENTCOM said.
According to White House officials, the operation carried out on Saturday was deemed successful.
During a call with reporters on Saturday, a senior administration official said that the successful airdrop serves as an important test case, demonstrating our ability to perform similar operations in the future.
The senior official added that the Defense Department is planning on conducting additional airdrops in Gaza in the days ahead but declined to offer further details.
During a press conference on Friday, President Biden expressed his concerns over the delay in delivering aid to Gaza and announced upcoming airdrops. He was joined by the Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in the Oval Office. Biden further stated that the US government is actively working on negotiating a ceasefire agreement to enable the delivery of additional aid to the region.
