South Africa’s political landscape is still in flux following the ANC’s effort to establish a government of national unity after not securing a parliamentary majority in last month’s election. Although the ANC’s leader, Cyril Ramaphosa, has been reelected as president, the party is still in the process of forming new partnerships. The coalition it has assembled thus far represents approximately 273 seats in the National Assembly.
