Public Opinions was founded at Makerere University in 2005 as a small study group, and in 2008, it was officially registered by the Registrar of Companies as a company limited by Guarantee.

Our strategic goal is to contribute to the attainment of Uganda Vision 2040 and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals through public awareness, information dissemination,public relations, training and mentorship, research,investment advisory, corporate profiling, publishing the Uganda Development Champions Journal, and printing promotional and campaign materials.

OUR TRANSFORMATIONAL PLAN

Public Opinions is transforming into a leadership institute,renamed Public Opinions Leadership Institute (POLI), which will offer training in basic and advanced leadership and management to individuals from around the world.

The goals and objectives of POLI are:

• To provide cutting-edge training in Diplomacy and International Relations,leadership and management principles,tailored to meet the needs of various sectors and industries.
• To enhance the skills and knowledge of individuals, empowering them to effectively address societal challenges and promote sustainable development.
• To foster a global community of leaders,facilitating collaboration,knowledge sharing, and best practices exchange.
• To conduct research,develop innovative solutions, and promote thought leadership in the fields of leadership and management.
• To engage in outreach programs,mentorship initiatives, and public awareness campaigns to promote leadership excellence and societal transformation.

By achieving these goals and objectives, POLI will benefit Uganda in the following ways:

• Enhanced Leadership Capacity: POLI will develop a critical mass of competent leaders, equipped to drive Uganda’s development agenda.
• Boosting the study of Diplomacy,International Relations,and strategic studies.
• By training leaders in effective governance, accountability, and transparency, POLI will contribute to a more efficient and responsive public sector.
• POLI’s leadership development programs will enhance the competitiveness of Uganda’s private sector,fostering economic growth and job creation.
