
Kyiv has launched what is described as the largest drone attack on Moscow since the beginning of the war.
Ukrainian forces targeted the Russian capital with a significant drone assault, though Russian air defenses managed to intercept at least 11 drones headed for Moscow. In total, Russian officials reported that 45 drones were destroyed across the country, though the exact number launched remains unclear.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin acknowledged the scale of the attack, stating, “This is one of the largest attempts to attack Moscow using drones ever. We continue to monitor the situation.”
Russian officials have yet to report any damage or injuries resulting from the overnight assault, and Ukraine has not commented on the incident as of now.
In a separate development, Ukraine’s special forces have claimed responsibility for destroying several bridges and pontoon crossings on the Seym River in Kursk using rockets supplied by the United States.
The Ukrainian Special Operations Forces highlighted the success of their operations on Telegram, stating, “Where do Russian pontoon bridges ‘disappear’ in the Kursk region? Operators … accurately destroy them.”
