
In a recent meeting at State House Entebbe, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni addressed a gathering of prominent Ugandan musicians, urging them to use their influence to spread the message of the National Resistance Movement (NRM). The event was organized by Ms. Hellen Seku, Commissioner of Patriotism in the Office of the President.
Among the attendees were notable musicians Moses Ssali, known professionally as Bebe Cool, and Joseph Mayanja, also known as Jose Chameleone. The gathering was led by Edrisa Musuuza, popularly known as Eddy Kenzo, who was recently appointed as the senior presidential adviser on creatives. Eddy Kenzo, who also serves as the president of the Uganda Musicians Federation, played a key role in the meeting.

During his address, President Museveni emphasized the importance of using music as a tool to advocate for the NRM’s message of wealth creation. He encouraged the musicians to focus on promoting unity and economic progress, steering clear of divisive politics centered on tribal and religious identities. The President expressed that such efforts would contribute to improving the livelihoods of Ugandans across the country.
The meeting highlighted the administration’s commitment to leveraging cultural influencers to advance its policy goals and foster national cohesion.
