Tabula, who had been evading arrest for approximately six months, was apprehended last week by the crime intelligence department in Kimelika-Namulonge, Busikuma.

In court, Tabula was formally charged with premeditated murder, having allegedly caused Bbosa’s death on February 25, 2024, in Kikandwa, Lubaga Division.

During the court proceedings, Tabula appeared unremorseful and made statements reflecting his view of justice, reportedly invoking the notion of “an eye for an eye.”

He was brought to court under heavy security and spent around 40 minutes on the premises before being returned to holding cells. The case is set to be committed to the High Court for further trial.

As the legal proceedings move forward, the case of Daniel Bbosa’s murder continues to draw significant public interest and scrutiny. The trial will not only address the specific allegations against Tabula and his co-accused but also highlight broader issues of violence and justice in the region.

The high-profile nature of the case has prompted calls for a thorough and transparent investigation to ensure accountability and to reassure the community of the effectiveness of the judicial system in addressing such serious crimes.
