The NUP has strongly condemned the actions of the security forces, accusing them of deliberately targeting their leader. This accusation highlights ongoing tensions between the opposition and the Ugandan government, with NUP asserting that the violence was an attempt to suppress dissent.

Bobi Wine’s planned surgery underscores the severity of the situation, marking a significant escalation in the conflict between the opposition and security agencies. The incident has drawn widespread attention and calls for an investigation into the use of force by police in handling political demonstrations.
