Kyomugisha was a dedicated social worker and a passionate politician. She joined NUP in July 2020 and quickly rose to prominence, being appointed to lead the party in Western Uganda. This region is notable for its historical ties to the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM), which is home to many of its leaders and founders, including President Yoweri Museveni.
