Ugandan musician Patrick Mulwana, better known by his stage name Alien Skin, has been remanded to prison following charges of robbery and violence, after a dramatic incident in Kampala’s Makindye district.

The 26-year-old musician, who was arrested on Wednesday afternoon, appeared before the Makindye Chief Magistrate’s Court, where he was formally charged with robbing Salim Mubiru. The robbery reportedly occurred when Mulwana allegedly stole an iPhone 15, valued at 3.5 million Ugandan shillings, and a wallet containing national IDs.

The charges are under sections 266 and 267(1)(A) of the Penal Code Act, which pertain to robbery and the use of violence in committing theft. Police sources claim that Mulwana used force to carry out the robbery. After being arraigned in court, Alien Skin was remanded to prison as investigations continue. His case will return to court for further hearings in the coming weeks.

However, this is not the only legal issue facing the musician. There is also a developing story involving Alien Skin and his group of associates, known as the “Ganga Stars.” On the same day of his robbery charge, it emerged that Mulwana and several of his crew were implicated in a violent altercation at Nsambya Hospital, located in the heart of Kampala. According to eyewitness reports, the group stormed the hospital with force, beating security guards and doctors in the aftermath of a tragic event.

The incident at Nsambya Hospital was reportedly triggered by the sudden death of one of Alien Skin’s colleagues, who had been rushed to the hospital after a road accident. The musician and his associates, visibly upset by the loss, allegedly forced their way into the hospital, demanding answers, and clashed violently with hospital staff. The attack left several hospital personnel shaken, with security guards sustaining injuries in the scuffle.

Authorities are investigating the attack, with police confirming that they are reviewing hospital security footage and speaking with witnesses. The hospital has since issued a statement condemning the violence and calling for the perpetrators to be held accountable.

This series of events has cast a dark shadow over Alien Skin’s career, with fans and the public closely following the developing stories. The musician, who had gained popularity in Uganda’s vibrant music scene, is now facing serious legal repercussions for both the robbery and the violent hospital incident. Legal analysts have pointed out that if the charges are proven, Alien Skin could face significant jail time, and his reputation within the industry could be severely damaged.

As investigations into both incidents continue, many are waiting for further updates to understand the full extent of Mulwana’s actions and the consequences he may face.
