Arsenal Fan Shot Dead Celebrating Victory Over Manchester United in Uganda.

A tragic incident unfolded in Lukaya town, central Uganda, on Sunday night when a fan of English football club Arsenal was allegedly shot dead by a security guard while celebrating the team’s 2-0 victory over Manchester United.

The victim, 30-year-old John Ssenyonga, died at the scene, while another fan, Lawrence Mugejera, sustained injuries and was rushed to a hospital for treatment.

The celebration turned fatal as a large crowd of jubilant Arsenal supporters gathered at a restaurant to watch and cheer on the game. Towards the end of the match, the restaurant manager reportedly became frustrated with the noise generated by the fans and instructed the security guard to intervene.

According to local journalist Farish Magembe, the situation escalated when the manager cut off the power to the building, angering the fans. In response, the supporters grew louder, ignoring warnings to quiet down. The security guard allegedly opened fire, firing multiple shots into the crowd, leading to the fatality and injury.
