In a bid to address Kampala’s mounting challenges in urban management and service delivery, President Yoweri Museveni has appointed Hajat Sharifah Buzeki as the new Executive Director of the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA). She will be assisted by Benon Moses Kigenyi, who has been named the Deputy Executive Director.

The appointments signal a renewed effort to bring efficiency and accountability to KCCA. While the formal appointment procedures are still underway, the decision underscores the confidence the President has in their abilities to lead the authority effectively.

Hajat Buzeki brings extensive experience from her career in both local and central government, including significant roles in the Ministry of Public Service. Her expertise is expected to play a vital role in transforming KCCA’s operations.
