According to law enforcement, the Cybertruck had been rented in Colorado before arriving in Las Vegas just two hours before the explosion. Surveillance footage revealed the vehicle parked in front of the hotel, where it began to emit smoke before suddenly detonating. The blast sent a vivid array of multi-colored fireworks shooting in all directions, creating a dramatic and alarming spectacle.

At a press conference, Sheriff Kevin McMahill presented footage of the explosion and photographs of the aftermath, which included several fuel canisters and large fireworks strewn across the scene. The sheriff confirmed that the investigation is ongoing as officials seek to determine the cause of the incident and any potential motives behind it.

In an evening address, President Joe Biden acknowledged the incident, stating that the White House was closely monitoring developments. He also noted that law enforcement agencies were investigating whether the explosion could be linked to the recent New Orleans attack on New Year’s Day, which resulted in 15 fatalities.

The tragic event has raised questions about the truck’s purpose and the driver’s intentions, as authorities work to uncover the circumstances that led to this shocking explosion outside one of Las Vegas’s prominent landmarks.
