
South African singer and actress Winnie Khumalo has passed away at the age of 51 after a brief illness. The family confirmed her death, stating that she was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Her sister, Tshepi Akeepile, shared the heartbreaking news, revealing that Khumalo had been ill for a short period but appeared to be recovering. Tragically, her condition worsened, and she passed away on Tuesday while on the way to the hospital.

Winnie Khumalo was a renowned Afropop artist who gained prominence in the 1980s. Her long musical career, marked by a distinct and powerful voice, made her a household name in South Africa. She is best known for her hit song Live My Life, and she also collaborated with notable artists, including the late Brenda Fassie.
