
Entebbe, Uganda – The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has praised the strong and long-standing relationship between Uganda and the United States, calling for deeper cooperation between the two nations.

During a meeting with the U.S. Ambassador to Uganda, H.E. William Popp, at the Special Forces Headquarters in Entebbe on Wednesday, Gen. Kainerugaba emphasized the deep-rooted partnership that has existed since 1962. He acknowledged the collaboration in various sectors, particularly in defense and security, which has strengthened bilateral ties over the years.
Ambassador Popp was accompanied by the U.S. Military Attaché to Uganda, Lt. Col. Christian Noumba. The discussions focused on enhancing security cooperation, strategic partnerships, and mutual interests that benefit both countries.
Gen. Kainerugaba highlighted the importance of continued engagement in military training, intelligence sharing, and capacity building within Uganda’s defense forces. He expressed optimism that the cooperation would further strengthen regional stability and security.
The meeting underscored the commitment of both nations to maintaining strong diplomatic and military relations, ensuring peace and security in the region.
