Kampala, Uganda – The Buganda Road Chief Magistrates Court has issued an international warrant of arrest for Uganda Law Society (ULS) President, Isaac Ssemakadde, after he failed to appear in court despite previous summons.
Chief Magistrate Ronald Kayizzi issued the warrant following Ssemakadde’s repeated failure to honor criminal summons and a prior arrest warrant. The ULS president is facing charges related to insulting the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), an offense that has drawn significant legal and public attention.

The decision to escalate the matter to an international warrant suggests that authorities may seek assistance from foreign law enforcement agencies to ensure his apprehension. However, Ssemakadde has not publicly responded to the latest developments regarding his case.
This case continues to unfold as legal experts and the public closely watch the implications of the warrant on the legal fraternity and the broader justice system in Uganda.
