Today he stands as Dr. Kivumbi Earnest Benjamin, L H. D. (Hon) an incisive Investigative jounalist, visionary Founder, and Editor-in-chief of HICGI News Agency (www.hicginewsagency.com). With pen in hand and purpose in heart, he speaks truth to power,giving voice to the unheard across borders and continents.

He contested for Kampala Central Member of Parliament aspirant (2011).
He is also the President of Heal The Planet Global Organisation HTP (Holds Special Consultative Status since 2017) http://www.healdeplanet.org as well Executive Director of Africa At Heart, a Non-Profit Organisation spearing the transformation and development of Africa.

From the quiet rise of Namasuba Hill, just off the Entebbe Highway, he emerged rooted in humble beginnings yet destined to traverse the world. Born on the 14th of May, 1989, within the walls of the old Kampala Supreme Hospital, his is the son of Esther Nasuna, a woman graced by fortune, and the late Godfrey Kiwanuka Palton, whose spirit lives on through him

He is a born-again Christian. He is also a motivational speaker, Author, Political Analyst, and media commentator.

He is the CEO/President of KEB International Group KIG (www.kebinternationalgroup.com) dealings in Cars, Real Estate, ICT Services, Tours & Travel, and many more.

Dr. Kivumbi Earnest Benjamin L H. D. (Hon) served as a Deputy Spokesman/ National Coordinator of People’s Development Party (PDP), a special envoy in Conservative Party-CP Uganda, and apparently holds a background also in Law, Computer Science and Information Technology, Guidance and Counseling, Research and Data Management, Business Management and Accounting and much more.

On this day 14th of May 2025, We commemorate the 36th birthday of Dr.Kivumbi Earnest Benjamin L H. D. (Hon), a distinguished Investigative Jounalist, Visionary Founder and Editor-in-Chief of HICGI News Agency (www.hicginewsagency.com) Born on this day 1989.

Today, we not only celebrate his personal Milstone but also honor his profound contributions to the society. In recognition of his explemplary work in Communication, Development and Public Service, he has been Confered an “Honorary Doctorate in Humanities” by a pretigious Canadian University based in Toronto.

This accolade stands a testament to his unwavering commitment to enlightening the world through the power of “Pen”.

The Honorary degree was officially confered on 10th May 2025 during a colorful and dignified ceremony held at Desert Breez Hotel in Arua City.

The event was graced by esteemed guests including state House officials, His Highness the Agofe, cultural leader of the Lugbara reperesenting the Lado Kingdom.

Dr.Kivumbi Earnest Benjamin L H. D. (Hon) says his academic journey has been marked by divine favor and the unwavering support of visionary leaders.

In 2008, He was privileged to be sponsored by His Majesty Kabaka Muwenda Mutebi II of Buganda for an Advanced Diploma in Professional Computing and Information Technology. In 2015, a 12-year-old dream came true when he was contacted by the Office of the President of Uganda, informing him that President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni had directed State House to sponsors him for further studies and he pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. The President sent a State House official at his graduation ceremony.

In 2022, he was honored by the United Nations, alongside four other journalists, on International Press Freedom Day for their efforts in promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In 2023, Dr. Kivumbi Earnest Benjamin, L H. D. (Hon) undertook a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, and today he is deeply humbled to receive this prestigious Honorary Doctorate, a testament to the journey of resilience, service, and grace.

In addition to his honor, four distinguished individuals were also awarded Doctorate Degrees during the same ceremony. These include; Rt Rev Dr Andaku Charles Collins Draku the Bishop of Madi/ West Nile diocese, Jacob Angualuga of the Church of Uganda, Dr. Jacob Angualuga from the Church of Uganda, Dr. Arach Opor James, Dr. Cynthia Dickson from the United Kingdom, and Rev. Dr. Nyom Medard Blause from Cameroon.

Dr. Kivumbi Earnest Benjamin L H. D. (Hon) is greatful to the Lord for this remarkable milstone in his life and career.
