Apostle Dr. John Bunjo Leads National Prayer for Uganda’s Political Transition and Africa’s Freedom.

Kampala, Uganda — Ugandan cleric Apostle Dr. John Bunjo led a national prayer for Uganda’s political transition during the recently concluded Light Up Uganda Crusade held at Kololo Independence Grounds. The crusade, organized by Patience Rwabogo—daughter of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and lead pastor of Covenant Nations Church—drew thousands of faithful from across the country.

The multi-day event featured a lineup of prominent local and international preachers, with a keynote address delivered by renowned American televangelist Dr. LaDonna Osborn. She spoke powerfully about faith, leadership, and the role of the church in shaping national destiny.

In a significant show of support, President Museveni and First Lady Janet Kataaha Museveni attended the crusade, marking a rare public appearance at a faith-based gathering of this scale.

Apostle Dr. Bunjo, known for his strong prophetic voice in national matters, led intercessory prayers focused on peace, unity, and God’s guidance for Uganda’s political future as well as Africa’s freedom. His message emphasized the importance of a godly transition and the church’s responsibility in times of national decision-making.
