LONDON-UK — A new voice is rising from the heart of Africa — and industry insiders say it may soon echo across the globe. AFRIKahN, a young Nigerian artist discovered during a recent talent-scouting mission by U.K.-based label Multination Records, is being hailed as the next global sensation set to transform the sound and soul of African music.

Multination Records, known for its mission to uncover raw talent from underrepresented regions, recently concluded a high-profile trip through Uganda and Nigeria. While attending one of the showcase events for emerging vocalists in Uganda, representatives from the label were struck by what they described as “awe-inspiring” talent set to reshape the music scene over the next 18 months. Chief among these talents is AFRIKahN — a prodigy already being spoken of in legendary terms.

A Voice Born in Spirit and Soil
AFRIKahN’s journey began in the dusty, sun-baked plains of central Nigeria, where the rhythms of village life and the melodies of open-air church choirs shaped his earliest musical experiences. Raised in a deeply spiritual household, his first stage was the church pulpit. By the age of five, he was mesmerizing congregations with a voice that transcended his age — soulful, powerful, and filled with emotion.
What started as whispers in rural churches soon became a regional buzz. Radio stations picked up the story of “the boy with the golden voice,” and his legend began to grow.
From Discovery to Destiny
Multination Records’ scouts were initially tipped off by a string of local recommendations that led them through Nigeria’s lesser-known towns. After tracking down AFRIKahN, they immediately recognized a rare, world-class talent. The label moved quickly, relocating him to a recording facility in southern Nigeria — his first time working in a professional studio.

Instead of reshaping him for commercial appeal, Multination made a bold choice: to keep his sound authentic. With guidance from seasoned producers, AFRIKahN began crafting a genre-defying style that draws on gospel, R&B, afrobeats, soul, highlife, and even global pop influences. His debut EP, now in production, is already being described as a powerful sonic tapestry of pain, purpose, praise, and perseverance.
A Movement in the Making
But AFRIKahN represents more than music — he symbolizes the wealth of talent hidden in overlooked corners of Africa. His story is a testament to the magic that can happen when talent meets opportunity. And it’s only the beginning.
Multination Records is currently in talks with several African governments, including Uganda’s, to stage a series of large-scale concerts in 2026, featuring AFRIKahN and fellow label newcomer Jhetto. According to sources close to the discussions, potential stadium dates in Uganda are already being negotiated, with the aim of inspiring a new generation of African artists.

“This isn’t just a launch of an artist — it’s the beginning of a global movement,” said one official close to the project.
As AFRIKahN’s story spreads, his music is starting to gain traction beyond Nigeria, with early buzz in Uganda, the U.K., and other parts of the continent. Fans are not only connecting to his voice but to the message behind it: that greatness can rise from anywhere, even the humblest of beginnings.
