Israeli Strikes Devastate Parts of Tehran

Israel launched a series of air strikes on Iran early Friday, targeting military facilities, nuclear sites, and residential areas in Tehran. The attacks killed at least two senior military commanders and several top nuclear scientists.

The strikes come amid escalating tensions over Iran’s nuclear programme and are expected to provoke further retaliation. Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, vowed “severe punishment” in response.

Hours later, the Israeli military reported it had begun intercepting Iranian drones launched in retaliation. An Israeli official, speaking anonymously, confirmed the interceptions were occurring outside Israeli territory but offered no further details.
