Algiers, Algeria | June 22, 2025 — The 56th edition of the Algiers International Fair (FIA) has officially opened today Monday, June 23, under the high patronage of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune. Organized by Algeria Exhibition, a subsidiary of SAFEX, in coordination with the Ministry of Internal Trade and Market Regulation, this year’s fair welcomes the Sultanate of Oman as Guest of Honour—a symbolic choice that highlights the deepening economic and diplomatic ties between Algeria and Oman.

Held under the theme “For a Common and Sustainable Cooperation,” the fair aims to go beyond traditional trade exhibitions, serving as a strategic platform for economic dialogue, investment matchmaking, and cross-sector collaboration. Hundreds of companies—both Algerian and international—will exhibit in diverse sectors including agri-food, electronics, home appliances, mechanics, metallurgy, construction, public works, services, and transformation industries.

The FIA serves as a barometer for Algeria’s industrial transformation, showcasing its evolving production capacity, industrial reforms, and diversification strategy. A dedicated retail space will also allow direct product sales to the public—one of the fair’s most popular features.

Running for six days, the fair is expected to generate significant business activity, attract foreign direct investment, and facilitate high-level partnerships. A strong emphasis is being placed on B2B interactions, with sector-specific forums, institutional roundtables, and networking sessions scheduled throughout the event.

The presence of Oman as Guest of Honour reflects a notable milestone in Algerian-Omani relations. Recent bilateral visits have resulted in the signing of numerous agreements and MoUs in sectors such as energy, logistics, trade, and urban development. Oman’s high-level economic delegation will also co-host a special Investment Forum on Tuesday, featuring thematic sessions on logistics, industrial transformation, and urban planning—areas ripe for joint ventures and regional growth.

In addition to Omani participation, the FIA will host a series of major economic conferences, including the Algeria-Pakistan Business Forum, along with panels focused on revitalizing productive investment, industrial reform, and tourism sector development.

The fair is open to the public daily from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and will run through June 28, 2025. Last year’s edition attracted nearly 700 exhibitors from over 20 countries, covering a wide spectrum of industries from agriculture to petrochemicals. Organizers are anticipating even higher participation this year, further solidifying FIA’s status as one of the most influential trade and investment events on the African and Arab economic calendar.
