*Singer Mikie Wine has addressed growing speculation surrounding his latest track, “Zuena,” a remake of Ragga Dee’s popular hit “Oyagala Cash.”
The song tells the story of a woman named Zuena who breaks the artist’s heart, choosing money and fame over love. The narrative quickly sparked rumors among fans, with some interpreting it as a subtle dig at fellow musician Bebe Cool and his wife, who shares the same name.
The use of the name “Zuena” and lyrical parallels to real-life events quickly stirred debate across social media and within music circles, with many interpreting the song as a direct jab at the high-profile couple.

However, Mikie Wine has since come forward to firmly deny these claims, clarifying that the track was never intended as a personal attack. He urged fans to focus on the song’s actual message and artistic inspiration rather than reading into perceived drama.
Mikie Wine firmly dismissed the notion that his song was an attack on Bebe Cool or his wife.
“If I were singing about the real Zuena—the wife of Bebe Cool—I would have mentioned Bebe Cool as well,” he clarified, calling the speculation “misconceived” and urging fans not to read too deeply into the name choice.
“They should take it from me—I do not have time to sing about him,” Mikie Wine added, dismissing any lingering speculation.

He emphasized that “Zuena” is a deeply personal track, inspired by a real experience from his own life. “This is something I went through,” he said, underscoring that the song’s narrative has no connection to Bebe Cool or his wife.
Mikie Wine also pointed out that this isn’t the first time he has drawn from personal encounters in his music: “I have also sung about other people, such as Namata,” he noted, reinforcing his artistic approach of telling relatable, human stories.
The artist emphasized that his music is meant to resonate with a broad audience by exploring shared human experiences.
At its core, “Zuena” carries an important message, he explained: “The song teaches a lesson—that we should love people for who they are, genuinely, not for their money.” Mikie Wine hopes listeners will focus on the song’s moral rather than any perceived controversy.
