Thousands of displaced people, including staff from Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP), are reportedly sheltering in the area now under assault. According to the charity, Israel’s latest orders “directly endanger vital humanitarian and primary healthcare sites.”
MAP further warned that the forced displacement orders do not allow for the transport of lifesaving medical equipment or supplies, “further obstructing efforts to provide emergency assistance.”
Steve Cutts, MAP’s interim CEO, condemned the move, stating: “This latest forced displacement order is yet another attack on humanitarian operations and a deliberate attempt to sever the last remaining threads of Gaza’s health and aid system.”

“MAP has been forced to halt critical services for Palestinians, including a primary healthcare clinic that treats hundreds of civilians each day. With the continued targeting of health and aid workers, the safety of our staff and patients can no longer be guaranteed.
“We are not only being blocked from delivering lifesaving support to those in need—we’re also unable to ensure the protection of our own teams on the ground.”
Gaza medics reported that at least three Palestinians were killed and several others wounded after tank shelling struck three mosques and eight residential homes.
