I was delighted to join my Bazukulu, Nalinya Beatrice Nalikka Mpologoma of the Buganda Royal Family and custodian of Kasubi Tombs—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—at the wedding of their muzukulu, Prince Denis Kalemera, and Crystabel Madrine, residents of the Netherlands, over the weekend.
It was an honor to meet distinguished and prominent figures, including former Buganda Premier Dan Mulika, members of the Royal Family, and many others. Big applause to our incredible MC and MP-to-be Zambaali Bulasio Mukasa, who kept the celebration lively.
Nalinya fondly addresses me as Jaaja, because my mother’s Aunt Namutidde was married to Ssekabaka Daudi Chwa, with whom she bore three children: Prince David Simbwa Alexander, Prince Kamanya, and Prince Mutebi (father of Prince Junju ).
In addition, my late father, Daniel Saava Ssemwanga Hanington, was also a grandson of Kabaka Daudi Chwa, deepening my connection to this royal lineage.
