As President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni marks 40 years in power, one of his National Resistance Army (NRA) historical comrades and former Resident District Commissioner (RDC) for Kampala, Jinja, and Masaka, Hon. Lugasa, has called for Museveni to continue leading Uganda for another 20 years — a move that would see him reach an unprecedented 60 years in power, potentially making him one of the world’s longest-serving leaders.
President Museveni has previously stated that his family has a history of longevity, often living to around 100 years.
