ANNABA, — The Algiers Opera Boualem-Bessaïh concluded its eastern Algeria artistic tour on Friday night with a captivating performance at the Azzedine-Medjoubi Regional Theater in Annaba. The event, attended by a large and enthusiastic audience, showcased the combined talents of the symphony orchestra and ballet company.

The closing performance featured a carefully curated program blending universal classical symphonies with Algerian musical traditions. Highlights included excerpts from maluf, a historic Andalusian genre deeply rooted in Algerian heritage, illustrating the country’s openness to integrating local and global music styles. Adding a distinctive local flavor to the evening was a special appearance by renowned artist Kamel Bennani, whose performance was met with enthusiastic applause.

The tour spanned several key provinces in eastern Algeria, beginning in Bordj Bou Arreridj, continuing in Constantine—often dubbed the “City of Bridges”—and culminating in Annaba, a major cultural hub.
