The Uganda Embassy in the United Arab Emirates has extended a warm welcome to a delegation from the UAE arriving in Kampala to participate in the 4th Uganda–UAE Business Forum, slated for October 27–29 at the prestigious Speke Resort Munyonyo.

Upon arrival, the delegation was received by Second Secretary Asha Nabbanja, representing Uganda’s Ambassador to the UAE Zaake Wanume Kibedi, together with the Protocol team from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The visiting team will engage in a series of Rappor Tours across key sectors such as tourism development, energy, oil and gas, mineral resources, infrastructure, innovation and technology, real estate, agro-industry, and commercialized agriculture. These focus areas align with Uganda’s Vision 2040, which seeks to position the country as a competitive investment destination and a regional trade hub.

The three-day forum will feature high-level discussions, sector-specific panels, business matchmaking sessions, and field visits, creating a platform for Ugandan entrepreneurs and UAE investors to explore new partnerships and opportunities.
According to Ambassador Kibedi, relations between Uganda and the UAE have strengthened significantly over the years. Bilateral trade volumes have grown to $2.85 billion as of September 2025, while Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) from the UAE to Uganda has surged from $300 million in 2018 to $3.5 billion in 2024.

The event will attract senior government officials, business leaders, investors, and innovators from both nations, underscoring Uganda’s growing capacity to host large-scale, world-class investment forums.
Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja, Uganda’s Prime Minister, is expected to deliver the keynote address at the opening ceremony, where she will highlight the government’s ongoing economic reforms and commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation with the UAE.
