RUKIGA— Dr. Rumanzi Benita Rushari, an aspirant for the Rukiga County Parliamentary seat, has urged supporters of all candidates to maintain peace throughout the campaign period. He cautioned those destroying his campaign posters, emphasizing that he is committed to conducting a peaceful and respectful campaign.

Dr. Rumanzi made the remarks on Friday during his first rally in Karorwa, Bukinda, where he appealed to residents for their support in his bid to represent Rukiga County in Parliament.

Running as an independent candidate under the symbol of a radio, Dr. Rumanzi pledged to be “the voice of the entire Rukiga County and the district at large.”

Despite heavy rainfall and difficult terrain, Rumanzi and his campaign team navigated the impassable roads leading to the Karorwa highlands, where they were warmly welcomed by enthusiastic crowds who promised him overwhelming support.

Dr. Rumanzi, who is also the Director of Kiga College Rushari, reiterated his commitment to promoting education across the district, noting that strengthening the sector remains one of his top priorities.
