Two teenagers have been killed in Shiraz as the US–Israel war with Iran escalates, with separate reports of two more deaths in Abu Dhabi.
Iranian media reported that the boys were killed on Wednesday evening when a residential area in Shiraz county was struck. IRNA identified them as Ilya and Amir Hossein Sharafi from the village of Kafri.
Hours later on Thursday, the Israeli military said it had launched a “wave of extensive strikes” targeting the central Iranian city of Isfahan.

Civilian casualties across the region mounted the same day, as the United Arab Emirates reported that two people were killed in Abu Dhabi after debris from an intercepted missile fell onto a main road, highlighting the growing risks to civilians even as air defence systems respond to incoming attacks.
Al Jazeera’s Mohamed Vall, reporting from Tehran, said the attacks across Iran had been “relentless”.
“It’s a vast campaign, much like previous days, but increasing both in scale and intensity,” he said.
Strikes were reported in several cities, including Bandar Abbas and Karaj, as well as at Lamerd Airport in Fars province. Mashhad and Taybad, in Razavi Khorasan province near the Afghan border, were also hit—areas that had largely been spared earlier in the conflict.
Vall said the latest strikes signalled “an expansion in both the number of targeted cities and the geographic scope” of the US–Israeli campaign.

Meanwhile, Iran’s latest missile barrage wounded several people in central Israel.
The Arutz Sheva news outlet reported that three people were injured in the city of Kfar Qasim, east of Tel Aviv.
Air raid sirens warning of incoming missiles and rockets were sounded across central Israel, the Jerusalem area, and parts of the occupied West Bank.
US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that a deal to end the war was close, despite Iran rejecting his proposed 15-point ceasefire plan and putting forward its own conditions.
Trump maintained that negotiations were ongoing, even as Iranian leaders denied any direct contact.

“They are negotiating, by the way, and they want to make a deal so badly, but they’re afraid to say it because they figure they’ll be killed by their own people,” the US president said.
Meanwhile, Gulf states reported further attacks, with Iran claiming it is targeting US-linked assets in the region.
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defence said its air defence systems intercepted five drones headed towards the Eastern Province, shortly after shooting down 17 others over the same area.

Kuwait’s National Guard said it had downed two drones targeting key installations. In Bahrain, civil defence teams extinguished a fire at a facility in Muharraq governorate, with no injuries reported.
