KABALE – Africa Population Institution Boss, Dr Rumanzi Benita Bushari has expressed interest to run for Member of Parliament for the proposed new Rukiga South Constituency in South Western Uganda.
Speaking to HICGI News Agency, Dr Benita says the conviction to serve his people is irrevocable. Born on 7th Nov 1980 to Mr. Fredrick Bahunde and Mrs. Evelyn Vangi Bushari as number 4 in a family of 9 children in Muhanga, Rukiga formerly Kabale district, Dr Benita went to Nyeikunama Primary School from 1987 to 1993, Bukinda Secondary School from 1994 to 1997 and Kigezi College Butobere from 1998 to 1999. He Joined Makerere University on 22nd Sept 2000.
Dr. Benita Rumanzi is the Principal/ Director, Africa Population Institute located in Masanafu off Northern By-Pass in Kampala Uganda. The institute has been cherished by South Sudan students since its establishment in 2008.
Rumanzi who speaks fluently English, also has a command in Runyakitara, Luganda and Kiswahili,
Dr Rumanzi has got strategic management, planning, organising and effective interpersonal skills with 10 years’ work experience in administration and management fields, providing guidance to strategic planning, implementation, reporting, monitoring and evaluation of program activities for all program support functions and coordination of multi-sector programs to ensure that they accomplish their deliverables with high impact, quality and scope with national and international level organisations.
Pioneered a capacity building institute that has positively impacted thousands of lives in Sub-Saharan Africa.▪ Participated in the development of the national strategic plan for the Community of Women Living with HIV/AIDS in Uganda.▪ Developed a number of successful concept papers and abstracts submitted to International Forums
