Clergy Pleads for return of Gideon Mulinde Soul

WAKISO – The leader of Born Again Pentecostal Faith in Uganda, His Eminence the Presiding Apostle Dr Joseph Sserwadda on Sunday disclosed that a fellow pastor has demanded the life of fallen son of Apostle John Mulinde be restored. Without revealing the name of the pastor, Sserwadda who was live on his weekly Sunday Morning Talk show on 98.4 Impact FM and Dream TV narrated the agony believers expressed at the demise of young Pr Gideon Mulinde during funeral service at Prayer Mountain World Trumpet Mission (WTM).

Mulinde a finalist of Law at Cavendish University and had just celebrated one year in marriage with his Korean wife Faith Mulinde breathed his last Thursday night (23 September 2021).  Sources to HICGI News Agency said, Mulinde complained of stomach pain, took himself to a local medical centre on Entebbe road and passed on moments latter without prior medical sickness.

The Church asked members of the public to keep Dr John, his friends and family in prayers.

 Mulinde was buried at Kanganda, a village located in Kabembe parish – off Kayunga Road on Sunday.

Gideon preached in several countries, including Malaysia, Korea, Israel, Kenya, Hong Kong, Botswana. He was also on the international board of Joshua Generation of Jerusalem House of Prayer for all Nations and the founder of Order of Melchizedek; a young leaders’ organization that focuses on understanding Kingdom leadership principles of revival in all major walks of life.

In a May 2021 Facebook Live broadcast, Gideon encouraged spiritual warfare prayers for supernatural help especially among nations hardest hit by Covid-19. He cited Matthew 12:29, where Jesus says, “How can anyone enter the strong man’s house and carry off his property, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house.”

“We are living in a time where so many people are losing hope. So many people do not know where to start from,” he said then. Pastor Gideon explained that God’s truth is the supreme weapon against the father of lies ( John 8:44), and that only when we know the truth and commit ourselves to obey it will we stand strong.

On spiritual breakthrough in life, Gideon encouraged persistence through prayer, noting that “when nearing the shore, there are often so many tides that pull you back from all sides.”

Robert Kayanja Jr., the in charge of creatives at Miracle Centre Cathedra Rubaga – Kampala remembered Pastor Gideon Mulinde as a “great worship leader” and “absolute joy to be around.”

“My family won’t be the same without you, we all love you! You made all our lives better,” Kayanja paid tribute to the deceased. “We will not forget you! We will always celebrate you!”
