KAMPALA- Outgoing head of State House Anti-Corruption Unit, Lt Col Edith Nakalema has raved Uganda President Yoweri Kaguta T Museveni for giving her opportunity to bring down the corrupt during her three years in office.
In a dossier seen by HICGI News Agency, Nakalema says “I wholeheartedly wish to thank H.E The President and Commander in Chief for the opportunity, he gave me to establish and lead the State House Anti Corruption Unit for the last 3 years. It’s been an honour and an enriching experience to serve my beloved country in that capacity.”
Nakalema says the appointment of his superior Brig. Gen. Henry Isoke confirms the pivotal role that State House Anti- Corruption Unit continues to play in the fight against corruption.
“I wish Afande Isoke the very best.” She said and added that the State House Anti- Corruption Unit is made up of a team of committed patriots who will give him all the support he needs
Nakalema also hailed the media fraternity for being a dependable partner in exposing the corrupt and evangelizing the efforts in the war against corruption.
She also thanked the citizens for supporting the collective fight to eliminate the corrupt. “Please keep it up!” she said:
“I am equally excited about my nomination by H.E The President to join the pioneer participants of National Defense College, Uganda (NDC-U). It’s the topmost course one’s military career.” Nakalema added.
In her conclusive remarks, Nakalema says “I am confident that it will prepare me to serve my country even better.”
