KIGALI- Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba , Special Presidential Advisor and Commander of Land Forces on Wednesday concluded his three day working trip to Rwanda where he met and held talks with President Paul Kagame.
Muhoozi says among the issues they discussed is the difficulties still connected with the border opening (the high cost of PCR tests for Covid-19 etc). President Paul Kagame assured him all that will be sorted out.
In a special way, he thanked President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni (his father) for allowing him to serve his nation by helping to rebuild the very important strategic relationship between Uganda and Rwanda.
“In our interlacustrine culture, especially amongst pastrolists like the Banyankore, Banyarwanda, Karimojong, Dinka and Masai there is no greater demonstration of friendship than somebody giving you a cow. Afande Kagame ampeire enyena ikumi zempano omunte ze ze’inyambo!” Muloosi.
The receiving of the gifts has caused an uproar amongst politicians in Kampala; Charles Rwomushana a Ugandan political and security commentator, former intelligence operative, former Guild President Makerere University, former RDC Pader District and former head of Economics and Research at Internal Security Organization (ISO) reacted angrily during a political talk show on BBS Terefayina hosted by Stephen Danistan Bussuluwa on Thursday night. “Where does Muhoozi report to, only his father. I demand that he presents those cows before the Inspector General of Government – IGG because he received them on behalf of Ugandans. The cows must be auctioned and I buy them.” Rwomushana said.

HICGI News Agency trucked more reactions on social media with some questioning the protocol which was violated without any Uganda Ministry of Foreign Affairs senior officials in the meeting with Kagame yet others appreciated Muhoozi for taking the task of negotiation Kampala- Kigali bitter relations.
