He is the founding director of Step Up Youth Initiative a member organization of the Youth Coalition For SDGs where Francis is the coalition’s regional coordinator for Eastern Uganda. At African Youth and Adolescent network (AfriYAN), Francis is one of the 5 Directors of the Uganda Chapter. While at regional level, he is a representative member of the Africa Policy Circle- a think tank of CSOs and individual researchers that provide advisory and policy alternatives to development partners and governments to advance good governance and Sustainable Development in Africa.

Previously, Francis was Africa Monitor’s Regional Liaison officer, a role preceded by being a Youth Action Team Co-chair of Action/2015 – a global movement of over 2,000 CSOs in over 140 countries that mobilized global citizens and world leaders to raise their ambitions to end poverty, tackle inequality and embrace Climate Action. This mobilization led to SDG1, SDG10 and SDG13 as stand alone goals coming from the Action/2015 mobilization messages.

He has directly contributed to such initiatives in Tanzania, Ethiopia, South Africa, Zambia, Botswana, Malawi, Kenya, Ghana and Uganda through the Voice Africa’s Future initiative that informed the post 2015 Agenda with over 77,000 Youth aspirations as well as the citizens report initiative that was a household based data collection on SDGs delivery experiences in order to inform SDGs Voluntary National Reviews, development partners’ strategic planning as well as advocacy messages.

Also known for being a gender Equality champion, Youth mentor and trainer, Francis is a mentor of a number of regional youth movements such as Africa Community Engagement and Network of African Youth for Development  towards delivering the Africa we want.
