A family member on Sunday night during a special service at the home of deceased MK Publishers Mr Majwega Samuel Musoke said that his body will arrive in the country in 2-3 weeks time.
The business community is mourning the passing of Samuel Majwega Musoke.
Musoke died on Saturday in the US state of Louisiana days after being operated on for intestinal obstruction.
He was also the vice chairperson of Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UNCCI).
“UNCCI Board of Directors and the Management are deeply saddened by the untimely passing of the Vice President, Mr. Majwega Samuel that occurred yesterday, 25th June 2022. We mourn with the family and pray that God shall comfort us in this very tiring time,” UNCCI posted.
The president of UNCCI, Olive Kigongo, said Musoke’s sudden death has left them in a state of shock.
“I chatted with him from Seoul (the capital of South Korea) on Tuesday (June 21) where I had just arrived and he told me he had undergone intestinal obstruction surgery in Louisiana,” she said in an interview.
“In spite of his busy schedule, he always made time for UNCCI. I had virtually left him to handle matters of the institution and which are not easy. I can only wish his soul to rest in eternal peace,” she added.
Majwega was also a Rotarian.
“What a dark day that has dawned on the Rotary Club of Bunga and the entire Rotary fraternity on the untimely death of our dear Change Maker President Samuel Majwega Musoke!! It’s unbelievable that you are gone in a twinkle of an eye. It was just the other day on the 28th of May 2022 that we had this happy moment together during the installation ceremony of President Elect Teopista Birungi Mayanja where you handed over the leadership and the instruments of power to your sucessor in a very unforgettable colorful ceremony which was historic in nature because it also had the Charter of baby Club Avance International University Rotaract club that you were so passionate about because the University was your personal investment,” the Rotary Club of Bunga posted on their Facebook page.
Musoke is also the founder of Avance International University, Axial International College, MK Crown Academy, WR Consultant which links students to over 159 universities in the world and MK General School Supplies Ltd.
