Kabaka Mutebi Calls for doubling efforts towards environmental conservation.

Kabaka Ronald Muwenda II has called upon all people to double efforts towards environmental conservation.

Speaking at an event held at the Kabaka’s Palace in Mengo in commemoration of Buganda’s Independence, the Kabaka expressed gratitude to the youth who have picked interest in issues concerning environment conservation saying it’s a clear sign that the Kingdom’s future is in safe hands.

“We therefore call upon all people to keep spirit of togetherness when it comes to issues relating to environmental conservation as well as other issues affecting Buganda and Uganda as a whole. ” Kabaka Mutebi said.

The Kabaka also noted that the communal cleaning initiative “Bulungi bwa nsi” which has been conducted for several years in environmental conservation should be adopted by the Central Government and be spread to other parts of the country.

“We would like to thank NEMA and other parties engaged in preserving the environment we appreciate your efforts. What we yearn for is the well protected environment. We wish you happy celebrations and pray for the Almighty to protect you.” He said.

The Kabaka also appreciated Buganda Minister Mariam Mayanja Nkalubo for her tireless efforts in organizing these successful events.
