Queen Torres yesterday held meeting with Ambassador Abbey Kigozi Walusimbi, Senior Presidential Advisor on Diaspora Affairs on behalf of Vice President Emeritus and Special Envoy on Political Affairs H.E Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi at Kingdom Kampala Towers. The meeting attended by Senior Presidential Advisor on Agriculture Affairs and Former Member of Parliament for Kisoro District Hon Kabagyenyi Rose has focused on Development Projects by Queen Torres Maria Leonora and We Care Foundation in Uganda.

Ambassador Walusimbi appreciated Queen Torres and Jain University representatives for the 250 Scholarships extended to Ugandan students.

HICGI News Agency has learnt, they’re already 100 Ugandan students studying with JAIN University which has been in existence for the last 30 years.

Queen Torres promised to work with Uganda Government and Culture institutions alongside civil societies to improve the lives of the poor in Uganda.

During the meeting an Association of People with Disabilities Living with HIV from Masaka presented a proposal to We Care for Humanity Founder Queen Torres about the need to improve the lives of such people.

Heal The Planet Global Organisation – HTP President Kivumbi Earnest Benjamin commended government for receiving Queen Torres in the country.

Queen Torres is expected to meet more Government officials during her visit to Uganda.
