STATE HOUSE – ENTEBBE – Uganda leader Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is this afternoon hosting H.Es: Hassan Sheikh Mohamud(Somalia), Evariaste Ndayishimiye(Burundi), William Ruto( Kenya), Ismail Omar Guelleh (Djibouti) and Demeke Mekonnen (Ethiopia) for the Heads of State Summit of the Troop Contributing Countries to the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS).

The summit -(of the Troop Contributing Countries to the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia) follows the Dec 2022 meeting at the sidelines of the U.S.-Africa summit in which H.E Hassan Sheikh Mohamud requested President Museveni to host the Heads of State.

The objective of the summit is to evaluate the achievements made in the implementation of the ATMIS mandate and review its drawdown plan in compliance with the United Nations Security Council Resolutions (UNSCRs) 26/70 (2022) and 26/28.
