The Rotaract club projected on screen one of the incredible stories Culton has done;

In her speech accepting the Award, Culton says, Its been 12 years of threats from security forces, intimidation and risking life for the profession she adores.

“Its all about sacrificing every thing including even risking your life for the purpose of creating good stories for people, some stories are extracted from dangerous sources which not easy to get.” Culton said.

“This explains the reason why it’s very hard to find a person who has been in journalism for 30 years service unlike in other professions where it’s very easy to find an engineer who has served for 30 years, which is a direct indication that consistency in journalism is a challenge unlike in other professions.” She added.
