Utah Jazz guard Trey Alexander was stretchered off the court after suffering an injury during an NBA Summer League game.

The incident occurred when Alexander went down during the contest, prompting medical staff to rush onto the court to attend to him. He was later carried off on a stretcher as teammates and spectators watched in concern.

The severity of the injury was not immediately disclosed, with the Jazz expected to provide further updates after medical evaluation.

Alexander, who joined Utah’s Summer League squad, has been competing for an opportunity to earn a bigger role with the franchise. The guard previously played college basketball at Creighton before entering the NBA.

The injury adds to concerns around player safety during the Summer League, where young players compete intensely for roster spots and increased opportunities.

The 23-year-old was taken off the court at the Thomas & Mack Center on a stretcher after the incident, which occurred with just over two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.

The Utah Jazz had not immediately provided an update on Alexander’s condition.

Alexander played three seasons at Creighton University before forgoing his final year of eligibility to enter the NBA Draft. He was named the G League Rookie of the Year for the 2024–2025 season after joining the NBA’s developmental league.

During that season, Alexander featured in 24 games for the Denver Nuggets before later appearing in nine games for the New Orleans Pelicans last season.

Under his current contract, Alexander is set to play for the Jazz and their G League affiliate, the Salt Lake City Stars.
