RWANDA — Apostle Grace Lubega has urged Christians to seek a deeper encounter with God, saying genuine spiritual transformation goes beyond understanding God to allowing His character to be expressed through their lives.
Preaching during the Day One service in Rwanda on October 17, 2026, under the theme “The Place Where God Meets and Speaks to Men,” Lubega said Biblical figures such as Abraham and Moses were ordinary men whose lives changed after encountering God.

“Abraham was a normal man until he met God, and his life was never the same. Moses was a normal man until he encountered God,” he said.

Lubega argued that the depth of a person’s revelation of God determines the extent to which God’s character is manifested through them. He said understanding God’s message was only the beginning, adding that believers must reach a point where that understanding finds practical expression in their lives.
According to the apostle, there is a difference between understanding God’s nature and becoming an expression of His attributes, including love, righteousness, mercy and wisdom.
He cited Enoch, a Biblical figure described in Genesis as having walked with God, as an example of a man whose relationship with God went beyond ordinary understanding.
Lubega referred to Enoch as a “scribe of righteousness,” citing Enoch 12:3–4, and argued that a person’s encounter with God should ultimately transform their character and way of life.
He also referred to Jude 1:14, which mentions Enoch as the seventh from Adam and records his prophecy, to support his discussion of Enoch’s spiritual significance.
The preacher said believers should not measure their spiritual impact merely by the number of years they have served God, but by the depth of their consecration and the lasting influence of their lives.

“Sometimes we speak so much because we know so little of God,” he said, arguing that a deeper relationship with God could give a person’s words and message lasting influence.
Using Jesus Christ as an example, Lubega said His three-year ministry had left an enduring impact on the world because of the depth and significance of His life and message.
He also cited the ministry of the Apostle Paul, whose letters continue to influence Christian teaching and practice, despite criticism of his speech and physical presence, as referenced in 2 Corinthians 10:10.
Lubega said Paul’s writings had continued to shape churches and influence generations, demonstrating that a person’s legacy was not necessarily determined by public appearance or the length of their ministry.
He challenged Christians to reflect on whether their impact was built on the number of years they had lived, the opportunities they had received, or the lasting expression of God’s work through their lives.
“There is a place in God where a man meets Him and is entrusted with something. When that thing finds expression in the world of men, that man will leave a mark that can never be erased,” he said.
