Top African King Lauds World Health Organisation in fighting Corona Virus

As United States President Donald J Trump is attacking and shifting blame to United Nations global body on Health for the Corona Virus Pandemic, Buganda King His Majesty Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II has acclaimed World Health Organisation for the efforts taken to combat the spread of the virus.

In his erratic speech on Easter eve, Kabaka Mutebi said WHO has traversed in disseminating information daily on measures to fight the virus as well as advising governments with needed support in reducing infections.

It should be noted that several African governments have tautened measures in fighting the virus with evidence of reduced cases of infection, patients recovering and effective testing which has astounded the West.

For stance in South Africa with highest cases on the continent, the lock down is fruitful according to President Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa. Uganda has also witnessed recovery of 18 patients out of the 53 cases earlier reported and they have been discharged according to authorities in Kampala.

Europe is also registering a slowdown in death whereas United States has turned out to be the epic center of the pandemic with highest number of infections and registered death surpassing Italy and Spain.

Kabaka Mutebi has urged Ugandans and the rest of the world to maintain proper hygiene and also abide with governments directives put in place.

He earlier last week donated Uganda Shillings 100 million and other supplies to support Uganda Government efforts of feeding affected citizens under the lock down.

On 13 April, the King will mark his 65th Birth day but unlike usual celebrations, there will be no activities especially his famous Kabaka’s Birth Run that attracts close to a million people every year which uses to raise funds towards HIV AIDs and other health concerns in the country.
