1000 toilets will be constructed for residents of Kawempe in Kampala in the next six months according to Water for Life a local organisation. This was disclosed yesterday (Saturday 28th November 2020) during Kampala Weyonje Clean monthly Campaign that took place in Kisenyi Zone,Bwaise Kawempe organised by Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA).
In her remarks, KCCA Executive Director Dorothy Kisaka said they will offer logistical support to Water for Life during this construction. Kisaka also appreciated Red cross, AMREF, and city dwellers for embracing the Kampala clean campaign.
Local leaders including the Mayor of Kawempe Sserunjogi Emmanuel Oweddembe, Councilors, LC 1 chairman person of Kisenyi zone, and others participated in the cleaning.
