Two holiday makers standing at the road side have been knocked dead by a speeding Fuso truck.

The accident occurred Tuesday evening at Rwimi trading Centre along Fortportal – Bunyangabu road.

The deceased have been identified as Hasifah Namatovu a senior four vacist and Faridah Namujju a student of hair dressing at Malaika Hair Dressers in Kampala.

Denis Tumwebaze a resident of Rwimi town said the students were from the garden to harvest Irish potatoes when a speeding Fuso truck lost control, hit them and later knocked a Bodaboda carrying two people.

The girls died on spot while the other casualties were rushed to different health facilities in Fortportal for further management.

Kabuya sulaiman a resident of the area has asked leaders to put humps in the road, because since it’s construction, drivers speed non sparingly, killing people.
